About me

My Philosophy

It is the right of every woman to have the birth that they desire and to make choices that are best for themselves, their baby, and their family. As a doula, I will work to help you achieve the birth that you so desire. My ultimate goal is to ensure that my clients have a satisfying birth experience where they feel respected, in control, and completely supported.

Birth is a natural function of the female body, but still an amazing and awe inspiring one! Your birth has the potential to be a profoundly inspiring and empowering moment in your life and I want to help get you there!

“A woman in birth is at once her most powerful, and most vulnerable. But any woman who has birthed unhindered understands that we are stronger than we know.” – Marcie Macari

“My dream is that every woman, everywhere, will know the joy of a truly safe, comfortable, and satisfying birthing for herself and her baby.” — Marie Mongan

“Labor is not about dilation. Your body knows how to give birth whether or not you ever have a pelvic exam during labor. Birthing women need encouragement to trust their bodies, and to be the stars of their own labors.” - The Doula Guide to Birth

My Story

My name is Gina and I live in Milford, MA. (A small town outside of Boston.)  I have been actively serving as a birth doula since 2013.  After graduating with my M.Ed, I decided to go for training in doula birth work.  My influence to become a doula was rooted in a traumatic birth experience of my own.  That experience propelled me to find out how to help other women advocate for themselves during one of their most vulnerable life experiences.  I trained in Northampton, MA under esteemed midwife Michelle L’Esperance.  My experience during training was amazing and life changing!  I met some of the most inspiring, caring, and educated women during my time in Northampton, and from my very first day among them I knew that birth work was my souls calling!

I have accompanied over a dozen births so far in my career and each one has been an amazing experience.  I look forward to all that being a doula has to offer me—and more importantly, YOU!
